The WordPress Specialist is responsible for building, customising, and managing WordPress websites. The role focuses on user-friendly, responsive builds tailored to client needs while maintaining strong performance, security, and SEO foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customise WordPress websites with a focus on functionality, design, and UX.
- Perform website maintenance, troubleshooting, backups, and updates.
- Install, configure, and customise plugins and themes while resolving compatibility issues.
- Integrate multimedia content for performance and a seamless user experience.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices and optimise sites for speed, security, and reliability.
- Provide technical support to minimise downtime and resolve site issues efficiently.
- Develop custom features using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress best practices.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver timely results.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of WordPress development and management experience.
- Proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with page builders such as Elementor, Breakdance, or WPBakery.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases, WordPress Multisite, and child themes.
- Familiarity with SEO plugins such as Rank Math or Yoast and with caching tools.
