What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): SEO is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic (non-paid) search engine results. It involves making changes to your website design and content that make your site more attractive to search engines.

  1. On-Page SEO: This involves optimising elements on your website that you can control, such as content quality, keyword usage, HTML codes (like meta tags and descriptions), and site architecture.
  2. Off-Page SEO: These are actions taken outside of your website to impact your rankings within search engine results pages (SERPs), like backlinking from other reputable websites.
  3. Technical SEO: This involves optimising the backend structure and foundation of your site for improved crawling, indexing and loading speed. It includes aspects such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and XML sitemaps.

The aim of SEO is to achieve higher search engine rankings, which can lead to increased visibility and organic traffic.
